VI1IEREAS, it is ne'cessary and desirdms and to the best interest of' the
cit1zens and tax payers to have certain lands converted into public

BE IT ORDAINED BY TIrE CITY COr'lJJv!ISSION OF TID: CITY OF CLEARWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 5 of ~n Ordinance o~ the City of Clearwater,
en:titled, "An Ordinance Defin:ing, Providine.; ~or and L:1oensing cer-
tain Types of Coin-op8rated Devices, Regulating the Ope~ation
Thereof, Fixine the Amount of Occupational License fee Therefor,
and Providing Penalties ~or the Violation of the Terms of t~~s
Ordinance," heretofore fully adol.1ted be, and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"The f'ees for such licenses shall be as follows: Each
"Operator" of' automatic vendors and/or sld.ll machines and/or
trade machines shall pay to the City of Clearwater an occu,pational
tax of the sum of ~ij'75.00, and in. addit1.on thereto the following
occupational tax on each m.achine as set forth in this Sect:ton and
eA.ch location cpe~a.tor as defined in Sect:lon Four shall pay an
occ1.l.pntional license tax on each machine to the City of Clear-
water as follows:
provided that :\.f' any "OpeI~atorll or lILocation Operator" shall
maintain sucb device or devic~s at anr. place or places so that
such "Operatorll or "Location Operator' is not subject to the pay-
ment of an occupational licens& tax to the City of Clearwater,
then and in that event such location operat'or shall pay twice the
amount of the City License tax as he~e1.n provided.
SECTION 2. Th1.s Ordinance shall become ef'fect1.ve innnediately
upon its passage.
PASSED and adopted this the lRth day of March, A. D.

after by due PI'OCCD ~ (If' law;
EXCEPT, That on property on which taxes of 1934 and 1935 shall have
been pa1.CJ. by July 1, 1936, an e:xtension of t1.me, with present dis-
connts, shall be granted until January 1, 1937; after which time,
if remain~ng taxes, speciaJ. assessments, penalties and interest have
not been paid, foreclosures shall proceed by the City of Clearwater
on the full A,mount of the unpaid portion of' all taxes, special"
assessments, penalties and interest;
EXCEPT, also, That persons who have paid the 1934 and 1935 taxes,
but are delinquent on special assessments, and on taxes for 1930
and for prior years, may, at their option and until f'oreclosure
Ruits have been started on their property, settle same with unpaid
interest COltpOns from Clearwater bonds, due on or before July 1,
1934, said coupons for this purpose to be valued at par.

WHERRAS, the ap~roaches to Stevenson Creek bridge on State
Road No. 15 ( U. S. # 19) are in bad shape due to creeping of the
asphalt block surfacing, loosening of the block and undermining
of the block Elnd C'll:r-n at tho bridge abutments and,
'TIiEREA~ the r.ity Commission of C1enrwater has been informed
of this condition,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT R&~OLVED by the City Commission of Clear-
water, Florid,a, that the str.te Rond Department of Florida be re-
quested to allot funds for such repairs as are needed to restore
these bridee approaches to proper and safe condition; and
That the Denartment cause this work to be done promptly be-
fore some accident occurs due to these present conditions.
