Item #34 - Pinellas County Industry Council (1 member) Commissioner Berfield moved to reappoint Oliver Woodruff. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Plans & Plats - Approved. Item #35 - Preliminary Site Plan for the Orange Motel 2, Lot 5, Block B, Skycrest Unit A; located on the W side of Saturn Avenue about 270' N of Gulf.to- Bay Boulevard (Menna) PSP-86-15. The site is vacant and oontains approximately .27 acre. Plans are to construct a two story motel containing ten units at a net density of 40.8 units per acre. The building will be operated in oonjunotion with an existing motel located at the northwest corner of Saturn Avenue and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Access will be at one point on Saturn Avenue. Commissioner Regulski moved to approve the preliminary site plan and authorize ORC review the final site plan subjeot to the following conditions: 1) the final site plan must provide for the requirement that 25 percent of the interior landscaping be of native species and 2) verification of the assessed just value arld most reoent sales price be submitted with the final site plan. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Item #36 - Preliminary Site Plan fOl' Campus Walk , M&B 11.. 04 L M&B 11.03 and M&B 11.02 in Sec. 18-29-16; located on the S side of DI'ew Street about 220' W of U.S. 19 (A.B.S. Properties) PSP-86-13. The site is vacant and contains approximately 7.1 acres. Plans are to construct a retail center oontainlng shops and restaul'ants. Access is proposed at two points from U.S. 19 Service Road, two points from Drew Street and two points from Old Coachman Road aoross the Florida Pouer right-of-way. Commissioner Berfield requested the final site plan come back before the Commdssion for final review. Paula Harvey, Planning Director, stated the number of road cuts proposed is unacceptable. Discussion ensued regarding correlating the entrances with other entrances across Drew Street to oreate the least amount of traffic impaot. Patty Stough of Mudano and Associates, stated the developer is willing to ooordinate the drives and the Traffic Engineer saw no problem with the dual aooesses proposed on the service road. Ms. Stough requested the City Commission leave the dual access question up to the Traffic Engineer.
