Real Property Equities, Inc. owns a landlocked parcel which it plans
to develop. The city owns land which could be used as an entrance to the

rights-of-way and the recommendation is to declare it surplus and to sell
the piece to Real Property Equities, Inc. There will be no question then,
regarding the use of the entrance road or it's long-term maintenance.

Amending Chapter 133. Building Code. to enact a new Art II. Downtown
Property Standar-ds.
The ordinance sets up a system for insuring that minimum exterior
appearance standards are met. It will fUnction in addition to Building
Code provisions relating to structural safoty and will require downtown
property owners to maintain building facades in such a manner that they
may not appear abandoned.
