WHEREAS, based upon said inspection, the Building Official determined
that said property and the premises were unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human
h habitation and do not properly comply with the requirements of Section 7-Z
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, relating
i: to unsafe buildings, and the Standard Building Code; and
' WHEREAS, on July 19, 1978, written notice was furnished setting '
forth said deficiencies and violations and advising the owner that she has until r

violations; and
WHEREAS, on July 25, 1978, Community Development Office notified
the owner by letter that repairs cannot be made under the limitations of the

WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Clearwater has
recommended to the City Commission that the building nituated an the above
described real property be demolished pursuant to Section 7-•2 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, andlkhe Standard
Building Code; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission scheduled a public hearing on said
:.! matter for Thursday, January 4, 1979, at 12: 30 P.M. at Clearwater City
Hall Auditorium, had notice of said public hearing published once a week for
at least two weeks, the first publication being at least ten days prior, and
to has also had mailed a notice of the scheduled public hearing by certified
mail, return receipt requested, to the occupant at the street address of the
property and the owner of the property addressed as indicated on the current
tax roll of Pinellas County, Florida, said notice requiring all persons
interested to show cause why the occupant or owner, or both, should not
comply with the order and decision of the Building Official; ::•j
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The City Commission, after proper notice and public hearing,
and having considered the evidence and testimony presented, finds that no
objections have been filed or presented or that the objections filed or presented
are deemed insufficient, further finds that the above described real property
and the building situated thereon are unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human
habitation and dangerous and detrimental to the health, safety, morals and
general welfare of the community, and do not properly comply with the
requirements of Section 7•-Z of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater,
Florida, 1962, relating to unsafe buildings, and the Standard Building Code.
2. Further, that the City Commission does hereby agree and concur
with and in the finding and determination of the Building Official of the City of
Clearwater concerning said real property and the building thereon and the
occupant, if any, and/or the owner, Mary N. Heard, or both of them, are

ordered within sixty, (60), days, after the passage and adoption of this said
Resolution to repair, alter or improve said premises and the building thereon
or remove or demolish said building in accordance with the determination
of the Building Official ao as to properly comply with Section 7-2 of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Clearwater, Florida, 1962, relating to unsafe
buildings, and the Standard Building Code.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution shall be immediately
forwarded by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the occupant, if
any, at the street address of the property, and to the, owner of the property
addressed as indicated on the current tax roll of Pinellas County, Florida.
4. Further, that if said occupant and/or owner fail to properly comply
with this said Resolution within the said sixty (60)' day period, the City
Commission shalt cauoe the removal or demolition of said building and shall
charge upon those benefitted and the property such special assessment of the
necessary costs incurred as determined by the City Commission and shall
provide that such assessment be a lien upon the real estate improved.
5. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.

It has been determined that you are responsible for the property referred to above. This depart-
ment recently inspected the property under the provisions of the Minimum Housing Code. Certain
violations were noted. The necessary remedial action and further explanations are indicated on the
enclosed bill of particulars.
You must, under the law, correct all violations within 120 days. Work permits, if required, must
be obtained within 30 days from the issuance of this notice.
The period for final compliance ends on: November 20, 1978.
You have the right to appeal the finding of this department. If you desire to appeal, you must fill
out application for appeal at City of Clearwater Building Inspection office within 15 days from
receipt of this notice. You will then be notified when your case will be heard before the Housing
Board of Appeals.
