Askew has proclaimed March, Energy Action Month in the State of Florida; and' WHEREAS, energy shortages have an adverse effect on the well being and comfort of every citizen and impede the economic growth of Florida; and WHEREAS, Florida is highly dependent on imported petroleum products for a primary source of energy and is, therefore, quite sensitive to any sudden changes in the availability of these products from foreign sources; and WHEREAS, the development of new techniques and existing domestic energy resources, and a decrease in the rate of growth of our demand for energy are needed to reduce the gap between energy supply and demand; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater hereby joins with Governor Reubin OID. Askew and declares that March, 1976, shall be considered as "Energy Action Month" in Clearwater, Florida. 2.
