RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City Commission
of the City of Clearwater that Representative Roger H. Wilson has introduced
a bill in the 1974 Session of the Florida State Legislature relating to Pinellas
County requiring that as a condition precedent to the approval or recordation
of any plats of land of forty acres or more of residential lots, that I/ 10th
of the gross area be reserved for school purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater feels that this bill would work for
the betterment of our community and desires to go on record in support of
same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially endorses and urges
passage of the proposed bill relating to Pinellas County requiring that as a
condition precedent to the approval or recordation of any plats of land of forty
acres or more of residential lots, that 1/10th of the gross area be reserved
for school purposes.
2. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded forthwith to the Pinellas

County Legislative Delegation, the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners,
and to the School Board of Pinellas County, Florida.
