WHEREAS, City of Clearwater desires to officially support such a
proposed amendment to said Chapters 380 and 23 of the Florida Statutes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Commission of the City of Clearwater, Florida,

W14EREAS, the City Commission of the City of Clearwater has been
informed that the Sarasota County Legislative Delegation is proposing to
amend Chapter 380, the Florida Environmental Land and Water Management
Act of 1972, and Chapter 23, Florida State Comprehensive Planning Act of
1972, of the Florida Statutes, to allow local governmental planning and zoning
programs having standards equal to or more restrictive than the standards
does hereby officially support the Sarasota County Legislative Delegation's
efforts to amend Chapter 380, the Florida Environmental Land and Water
Management Act of 1972, and Chapter 23, Florida State Comprehensive Planning
Act of 1972, of the Florida Statutes, to allow local governmental planning and
zoning programs having standards equal to or more restrictive than the standards
and guidelines prescribed in accordance with these Chapters to prevail.
2. That certified copies of this Resolution be transmitted forthwith
to the Pinellas County Legislative Delegation, the Sarasota County Legislative
Delegation and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council.
