G WHEREAS, the problem of beach erosion on Clearwater Beach is becoming a serious problem to the City of Clearwater and the other owners of beach-front property; and 1, WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater feels that the nourishment of the beach and the construction of jetties and groins would be for the benefit of all the citizens of the Clearwater area; and WHEREAS, it is felt to be to the best interests of all concerned to enlist the aid of Congressman C. William Young in an effort to acquire Federal funds to assist in this problem; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, IN SESSION REGULARLY AND DULY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the City of Clearwater hereby officially requests the aid of Congressman C. William Yoimg in attempting to acquire Federal assistance and Federal funds in the nourishment of the beach and the construction of jetties and groins in order to solve the serious problem now confronting the City of Clearwater and other owners of beach-front property on Clearwater Beach.
