4:~ ~~;~e;~r~;~ ~~°,~'' f ~ ~ FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby deems it• to be in the public
interest of the citizens, not only of Clearwater, but the entire West Coast of
Florida, that the two bridges on the Courtney Campbell Parkway be repaired
at once as an emergency measure and that if at all possible, considering the
safety of the traveling public, that the bridges be kept open at ali times during
the repairs except when phases of the construction might prevent its being open.
2. That to close the bridged permanently while new bridges are being
constructed is unthinkable inasmucly as the condition of the bridges has been
well known to the Department of Transportation for many years.
9. It is, therefore, requested that this important segment of State
Road 60 which connects the Eaet Coast with the West Coast of Florida be
maintained, repaired and kept ogen in a safe condition at all costs.
