WHEREAS, Clearwater is no exception to this problem; and '~~+~ _,,~ `~•~~ ~~ WHEREAS, one of the major concerns with the ambulance owners -f,'i v 'y'si` "°~t'~'""~~~``:''- is the collection for $ervicn rendered to patients carried to the hoapit~l; and ~`{r~~%Y: ~='~r<:,~'•. ~ WHEREAS, it is felt by the Gity Commission of the City of Clearwater that it might be mutually advantageous, not only to the ambulance industry but to the hospital and the citizens of the City of Clearwater, that good and excellent ambulance service be provided on a basis making it economically feasible for the ambulance industry to operate, NOW+ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSFON OF THE CITY OF CLEARWA~'ER, FLORIDA, ZN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS FOLLOWS: 1, That Mayor H. Everett Hougen be and he is hereby empowered to meet with the management and/or the Board of Directors of the West Coast Hospital Association, to wit Marton F. Plant Hospital, with a view towards solving the problem that exists in the ambulance industry. z. That said H. Everett Hougen be requested to report back to the City Commission of the Gity of Clearwater at his earliest opportunity following the consideration and study by him and the hospital associa#ion. 3. That certified copies of this Resolution be furnished to Mayor H. Everett Hougen and the West Coast Hospital As~~tion. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day ocnber/ A.Ir 1970.
