WHEREAS, Florida Statutes, 19b5, 192.59, Taxation; cancellation
of delinquent taxes upon lands used for road purposas, etc. , grants to the
Board of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida, full power and
authority to accomplish this request; and
WHEREAS, in order to comply with the policy of said Board, the City
of Clearwater is willing tv guarantee payment of taxes prior to the date of
transfer on the hexeinafter described properties when the tax rolls reflect
the proper amount and the City is billed for that amount;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Clearwater hereby formally requests the Board
of County Commissioners of Pinellas County, Florida, to take all formal
action necessary to cancel and discharge any and all liens for taxes,
from the date of acquisition by said City, held or owned by Pinellas County or
the State of Florida, upon the hereinafter described lands acquired by the
City of Clearwater for right of way or other public use purposes and to
provide that said lands shall he exempt tram County taxation so long as the
same are used fox such public purpose, to wit:
a. Propezty acquired from Thomas B. Brinkley and Mattis
M. Brin4~ley, his wife, by deed dated September 1, 1967,
and recorded in O. R. 266$, page 375 of the Public Records
of Pinellas County, Florida, described as:
Lot 40, Block "A" Barbour Morrow, according to map or
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 23, page 25 of the
Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
b. Property acquired from Victoria Cackowski, by deed dated
August 15, 1967, and recorded in O.R. z6S7, page 56 of
the Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida, described as:
Lots 5 and 6, Block "A", Barbour-Morrow Subdivision,
according to map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat Boak 23,
page X15, Public Records of Pinellas County, Florida.
All of the above property to be used for a public parking lot.
