WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has been negotiating with Thos
Philadelphia National Loagucs Club, Ina. , a Pottneylvunit~ corporx~tion,
concerning a Lease to tho Ball Club of a tract of filled IaMd NorihQagt
of the Clearwater St. Petersburg Juniox College; and
WHEREAS, the Ball Club is desirous of having constructed thereon
a baseball training complex; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to lease the facility from the Philliea
far a similar period for the use of its recreational program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLdRIDA,
TN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED. AS
FOLLOWS:

1. That the Lease read and considered at this Special Meeting of
the City Commission by and between the City of Clearwater and The
Philadelphia National League Club, Inc. , a Pernsylvania corporation, be
approved in accordance with the terms and conditions contained therein and
the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute the said Lease
for and on behalf of the City of Clearwater.
2. That the Sublease Agxeement an the same pxemises by and between
The Philadelphia National League Club, 3ne. , a Pennsylvania corporation,
as Sublessor, and the City of Clearwater, as Sublessee, be approved and
the proper City officials are hereby authorized to execute the said Sublease
Agreement on behalf of the City of Clearwatex and to do all things necessary
to effectuate the tWa documents.
3. That a certified copy of this Resolution, together with fully executed
copies of the Lease and Sublease be delivexed forthwith to the Philadelphia
National League Club, Inc. , and that the game shall become effective
in accordance with the terms hereof when completely and fully executed
by both parties hpxcto.
