In an effort to save money by by-passing the dealers we went tatthe factory
to get the best possible price.
The parts are required to update and repair the light bars on police units.
Sane of the units would require replacement if not repaired. The parts are
being used to save downtime and money and far the safety of the police
department.

BACKGROU NO:
The subject project Contract awarded to R. W. Cole Construction, Incorporated, has
been completed and put Into service.
The purpose of this Change Order No.4-Final is to compensate the Contractor for
the Bid Work and the additional work he was directed to perform, and to adjust the
Contract Amount accordingly.
This Change Order No.4-Final is prepared and submitted to the Com,mlsslon for their
approval to adjust the Contract Amount from $1,169,519.63 to $1,167,426.55, or a
IIdecrease" of ($2,093.08).
Previous Change Order No. 3 provided for an extension of time; however, ,left a gap
from June 9, 1983, to August 2, 1983.

discussion regarding reserving parking at Clearwater Beach for Clearwater residents.

BACKGROUND:
The property is located on the e st side of U.S. 19 approximately 100 feet
north of First Avenue North. T 3 site contains 1.45 acres M,O.L.
The Land Use Plan classi fLcat! is Commercial/Touri st Facil i ties wi th a
zoning designation of CP (Parkway Business) District. The County Land Use
~an designation on this property is Residential/Office/Retail requiring
that certain limitations as described in the CP zoning regulations be
fOllowed.
Plans are to construct a bank building containing a total of

point on U.S. 19 and one e rance point from the parking area of Cypress
Point Shopping Center. T e City Commission on November 17, 1983 approved
the preliminary plat for Cypress Point Shopping Center limiting the access
points to U.S. 19. One access point was provided for the subject parcel
through the preliminar plat approval.

The Land Use Plan classification is Commercial/Tourist Facilities. The
zoning designation requested is CG (General Business) district. *The
Master Thoroughfare Plan shows a lOO-foot right-of-way for Keene Road and
an additional 20 feet of right-of-way will be required from this property
when Keene Road is widened.
The property is developed with a restaurant and a convenience store.
An agreement to annex was entered into with the City for the subject
property on February 12, 1970. A revised agreement to annex was executed
on February 17, 1977 providing that, at ~uch time it was possible under the
law, the property would be annexed. The subject parcel is now contiguous
to the City limits and it is appropriate for it to be annexed.
Paragraph 3 (c) of the agreement provides for the agreement itself to be
considered a written request to annex. The property owners were ~iven
sixty (60) days notice regarding the annexation and notified no fee would
be required for processing the annexation.
The Planning and Zoning Board on March 6, 1984 recommended by a vote of 8
to 0 to approve the annexation and CG zoning.

BACKGROU~D:
The property is located on the north $ide of Jeffords Street, east of
Highland Avenue. The site contains 1.26 acres M.O.L.
The request is to amend the Land Use Plan from Commercial/Tourist
Facilities to High Density Residential in conformance with the RM-28 (High
Density Multi-Family Use) zoning on the property.
A licensed adult congregate living facility, the Highland Retirement
Apartments, is located on the property. The facility contains 57 units at
a density of approximately 45 units per acre.
The Planning and Zoning Board on March 6, 1984 recommended by a vote of 8
to 0 to approve the Land Use Plan amendment to High Density Residential.
