The City Commission of the City of Clearwater met in special session at the

The City Manager presented a report on a proposed restroom and concession
complex for the south part of the public beach on S, Gulf View Blvd. and recom-
mended an architect be retained to provide preliminary plans for evaluation by
the Commission. Commissioner Blackstone moved the City Manager be authorized to
negotiate and hire Mr, Forrest Watson as architect for the project. Motion was
seconded by Commissioner Brumfield and carried unanimously,
The City Attorney recommended June 3rd for a public hearing on the Wm. Wooley
property at 905 Beckett St, (Lot 2, Block G, Avondale Sub.) for possible demolition
of building located thereon. Commissioner Blackstone moved that a public hearing
be held at Lt 30 P.M. on June 3, 1968, in accordance with Minimum Housing Code,
for property outlined above. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Carter and
carried unanimously.
Commissioner Brumfield moved the meeting be adjourned at 2;40 P,M, Motion
was seconded by Commissioner Carter and carried unanimously,
The City Commission then met as Trustees of the Pension Fund with the Mayor
calling the meeting to order, Mr, Kenneth McCreary, Finance Director, presented
a list of six additional stocks he recommended for purchase:
Allegheny Ludlum Steel
Eastman Kodak
Eaton Yale 6 Towne
General Electric
Public Service of Colorado
Stauffer Chemical
Commissioner Williams moved the Finance Director be authorized fora six months'
period to purchase the recommended stocks for the Employees' Pension Fund if and
when the circumstances appear favorable. Motion was seconded by Commissioner
Blackstone and carried unanimously, ?j" `
