CITY COMMISSION P�ETING
February 5, 1g65
The City Commisaion of L-he City of Clearwater met in special session a� the
City Ha11, Friday, k'ebruary 5th, 1g65, at g;00 A.M., with the following members
present:

The Mayor called tl�e meeting to order, The znvocati�n was given by the City
Attorney. The Mayor announced that the special meeting was being held to restore
names to the voting regis�ration lists for the February 9th election in aecordance
w3.th Section 162 of the City Charter.
The Clerk reported the books for the precincts entirely within the City and
the lists for those precinc�s partly inside the City were available for inspection.
The Clerk reparted that no xequests had been received for any kind of corrections.
By conser,�t the Commission accepted the books and lists.
The Clerk read a le�tter certifying his inspection of the voting machines on
Fel�ruary 3rd, 1965. Commissioner Insco moved that the letter be aeeepted,
Motion was seconded by Commissioner Fields and carried unanimously,
The Clerk reported that Mx�s. Mary Amsbutz, Precinct 43, would no� be able to
ser�TA as a poll worker, and recommended Mr. Charles W. Dunbar as a replacement.
Conu,..:.ssioner Insco moved that the po11 worker be approve3 as recommended by tha
City Clerk, Mot�on was seconded by Commissioner Fields and carried unan.9.mously.
The Mayor read a Ietter from the City of Pinellas Park, regamding the
celebration of their Gclden Ann9.versary and reported that a caravan led by Mayor
Arlie Owens would arrive at ti2e C].earwater City Hail at 10:15 A.M., Saturday,
February 6th, 1965. The Mayor asked all Commissioners to meet the caravan.
Commissioner Turner announced that the Suncoast League of MunicipalitiEs
would hold their monthly meeting at Pinellas Park on Saturday, February 13�th,
and all Commissioners and wives are welcome to attend.
There being no fur�her bus�ness, �he meeting adjournQd at 9:10 A,M.
