C ITY COI'~ISSION NEET ING February 7, 196~ The City Commission of the City of Clearwater met in special session at the City Hall, Friday, February 7, 1964 at 9:15 A.M., with the rollowing members present: Robert L. Weatherly Cleveland Insco Herbert R. Fields Amos G. Smith Joseph K. Turner, Sr. Also present were: James R. Stewart Herbert M. Brown Willis Booth Mayor-Commissioner COlIllllissioner Cornrnissioner Commissioner Commissioner City Manager City Attorney Police Chief Absent: Max Battle City Engineer The Mayor called the meeting to order. The invocation was given by Chier Booth. The Mayor announced the special meeting was being held to restore names to the voting registration lists for the February 11th election, in accordance with Sect. 162 of the City Charter. The Clerk reported the books for the inside precincts and lists for those precincts partly inside the City were available for inspection. The Clerk reported that no requests had been received ror any kind of corrections. Commissioner Fields moved to approve the voters lists as sub- mitted by the City Clerk, there appearing to be no one in person, or by letter requesting any changes to the voting lists. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Smith and carried unanimously. The Clerk read a letter certifying his inspection of the voting machines on February 6th, 1964. Commissioner Insco moved that the letter on the inspection of voting machines be accepted. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Fields and carried unanimously. The City Manager presented for approval a lease between the City and Mr. Joseph Crame~, lessee of the Small Boat Marina Building, for stores No.4, 5 and 6 to be used by the Sea-Orama, at $200 per month for one year. He also stated that in the City Attorney's opinion that the Commission should give permission by motion for Mr. Cramer to enter into this lease for Sea-Orrona purposes. Commissioner Turner moved that the lease as outlined by the City Manager between Mr. Joseph Cramer and the City of Clearwater be approved, under the terms and conditions as outlined and that the proper officials be authorized to execute same and that simultaneous with the approval of this lease that the City also approve the leasing of the particular store spaces to the City as approved oper- ation of the Small Boat Marina, inasmuch as this type of operation is not now covered in the lease as being one of their approved operations and that this approval be made in writing by the City Manager to Mr. Cramer. Motion was sec- onded by Commissioner Fields and carried unanimously.
