BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEAL ON ZONING

, The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 4 p.m.
in the Commission Meeting Room in City Hall. He outlined the
procedures and announced the request of David Perkins and Edward
Heidt, Jr. for a setback variance. '
In the absence of the Building Official, the Chairman read
into the record the Memorandum of Denial from the Building De-
partment.
The Planning Official questioned parking facilities if the
variance is granted and reminded the Board the applicant would
come under the provisions of Section 33.07(5).
David Perkins, co-owner, stated they own property west of
Hamlet Avenue which will be used exclusively for parking. The
addition is needed to house their fleet of trucks.
Discussion ensued concerning possible requirements for
paving of the parking area and the applicant stated they do
not intend to pave since they do not wish to disturb the trees
nor create a water run-off situation.

Upon consideration of the appeal of David Perkins and Edward
Heidt, Jr. from the decision of the Building Official concerning
the request for a setback variance from Hamlet Avenue to construct
an addition to eXisting building upon unnumbered lot in Poms
Park Subdivision, which property is located on the northeast cor-
ner of Pinellas Street and Hamlet Avenue and is zoned ML (Light
" "manufacturing), it appearing after this duly constituted public
hearing, that there are practical difficulties or unnecessary
