Billy Blazer stated he needed the variance to put in the
pool and the fence for privacy.

There were no citizens to speak in objection.
Upon consideration of the appeal of Billy R. Blazer
from the decision of the Building Official concerning the re-
quest for a variance to allow a l7-foot setback from Old Coach-
man Road to construct a swimming pool and to erect a 6-foot
fence between the building setback line and the property line
along Old Coachman Road on Lot 32, College Hill Park Unit 1,
which property is located at 1838 Asbury Drive and is zoned
RS-75 (single family), it appearing, after this duly constituted
public hearing, that there are practical difficulties or unneces-
sary hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter of
the provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such prop-
erty and that the same can be varied in harmony with the general
purposes and intent of the zoning ordinance, Mr. Nichols'moved
that such appeal be granted in accordance with the application
submitted therewith, with the provision that the right to
obtain a building permit in accordance with such variance shall
cease after six (6) months from this date. Mr. Youngstrom sec-
onded the motion whcih carried unanimously.
ITEM i4 - The request of Richard Faulk for a variance to
construct a swimming pool and to erect a fence in a RS-~
zone.

The Building Official reported this is a double frontage lot
adjacent to the prior applicant.

Ted Shur, representative, in response to questions, stated
a bird cage over the pool was not planned at this time. There
was discussion about the actual variance required, depending on
measurements from the pool edge or from the decking.
