Upon consideration of the appeal of John F. Sever from
the decision of the Building Official concerning the request
for a variance to allow a 15 ft. setback from Canterbury Road
to erect a fence around a pool and backyard recreation area
on Lot 7, Block B, East Druid Estates, which property is
located at 2035 Croydon Drive on the southwest corner of
Canterhury Road and Croydon Drive and is zoned RS-50 (single
family)~,it appearing, after this duly constituted public
hearing, that there are practical difficulties or unnecessary
hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter of the
provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such property
and that the same can be varied in harmony with the general
purposes and intent of the zoning ordinance, Mr. Nichola moved
that such appeal be granted in accordance with the applicatio~
submitted therewith, with the provision that the right to
obtain a building permit in accordance with such variance
shall cease after six (6) months from this date. Mr. Homer
seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
ITIUl fJ4 - The request of Schick and Bader, P.A., for
special exception to erect a medical building. The Building
Official stated this is a permitted use as a special exception
in Rn-2M zoning. JameR Baxter, Attorney, represented the
applicant and presented the arcl1itect's conception of a two-
story building to be constructed on the site. A letter of
approval with four conditions was read into the record from
Fred J. Wood, an adjoining property owner. Charles Morrison
and Laurel Dagnon, adjoining property owners, spoke in oppo-
sition because of the additional traffic which they thought
would be generated.
Upon consideration of the appeal of Schick and nader,
P.A.) from the decision of the Building Official concerninn
a special exception to allow erection of a medical building
on Lot 17 and the East 75 ft. of Lot 19, Bluff View Court,
which property is located on the northwest corner of Reynolds
Avenue and Sadler Street and is zonedRM-28 (high density
multi-family), it appearing, after this duly constituted
public hearing, that the proposed use is consistent with the
general zoning plan and with the public interest, Mr. House
moved that said appeal be granted in accordance with the
application submitted therewith, with the provision that the
right to obtain a building permit in accordance with said
special exception shall cease after six months from this date.
Mr. Homer seconded the motion which carried unanimously.

The Vice Chairman presented the minutes of the meeting
of August 14, 1975. Hearing no objection, he declared the
minutes approved in accordance with copies suhmitted to each
board member in writing.
