08/22/1974 .) (] The Building Director said that when the building permit was issued the plans showed the distances between the build- ings and were adequate; but, that later, on-site investigation and private engineering survey revealed that some of the build- ings were too close together. John Flad, Assistant Secretary of Bullard & Walling, Inc., representing the applicant, said neither the owners nor the general contractor were aware of any error. He further claimed that the copy of the building plans returned with the iSBuance of the building permit did not show the distances between the buildings, but showed only coordinates which were found to be in error according to the zoning ordinance. Some discussion ensued over fire protection, the build- ing COde, parking excessive variances, sewer line and amend- ing of application, which originally requested the following variances from the required 20 ft. between buildings as follows: @'"' - ' '1.< Variance Requested Space Between Buildings #15 & 16 = 15 ft. 5 ft. II tI #17 & 18 = 18.33 ft. 1.67 ft. II tI #20 & 21 = 17.70 ft. 2.30 ft. " II 1121 & 22 = 16.60 ft. 3 . 40ft. " II #22 & 23 = 14.96 ft. 5. 04 ft. ~ " II #25 & 26 = 18.18 ft. 1.82 ft. II II #12 & 19 = 15.67 ft. 14.33 ft. " II # 3 & 4 = 22 ft. 8 ft. " " # 4 & 5 = 22 ft. 8 ft. Mv. Homer and Mr. Nichols warned that the variances, as originally requested, were excessive and could establish an undesirable precedent. After consultation with other representatives of the applicant, Mr. Flad amended the application. There were no objections to the amended request. Upon consideration of the appeal of Avnold Lieberman, at al., from the decision of the Building Official concerning the amended request for the following variances from the re- quired 20 ft. between buildings as follows: Variance Between Buildings #15 & 16 = 15 ft. 5 ft. 11 " #17 & 18 = 18.33 ft. 1~67 ft. 11 " 020 & 21 = 17.70 ft. 2.30 ft. : .A : II II H2l & 22 = 16.60 ft. 3.40 ft. .,:\.,. .
