Motion carried. tat The request of Wm. Vredenburg was presented for consideration. Mr. Blanton, Building Director, outlined the case stating that there are 18 units on the property now; that there was no offstreet parking requirement when built but that no present parking on the property is completely offstreet. He stated that he had heard, but was unable to confirm, that there was 22 spaces available. Mr. Vredenburg was present and explained the request and presented a plan showing the 22 spaces, but they were not the size required by the present ordinances. The Clerk read a letter from Mr. G. H. Lindgren objecting to the request and enclosed a picture showing the sidewalk completely blocked when cars were parked adjacent to swimming pool equipment. Upon consideration of the appeal of Mr. Wm. Vredenburg from the decision of the Building Official con- cerning waiving of offstreet parking requirements to construct 4 additional units on Lot 55, North 40 ft. of Lot 56, South 20 ft. of Lot 101, All Lot 102 and North 30 ft. of Lot 103, Lloyd-White-Skinner Sub., which property is located at 219 Gulf View Blvd. and is zoned R-4D (multi-family), it appearing, after this duly constituted public hearing, that there are not such practical difficulties or unnecessary hardships in the way of carrying out the strict letter of the provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such property as would justify a variance of such provisions and that the same cannot be varied in harmony with the general purposes and in'tent of the zoning ordinance, Mr. Nichols moved that such appeal be denied. Mr. Carter seconded the motion. Upon the vote being taken Mr. Carter and Mr. Nichols voted "aye". Batstone, Homer and Mahan voted "no". Motion did not carry.
