Levi~on, Chairman, at 8:00 P.M. I There being no additions or corrections, Mr. Levison declared the minutes of the meeting of March 9, 1961, approved as sub- mitted. By consent the Board decided to deviate from the agenda to hear Item 2 first, being the request of Mr. Herbert J. West, Sr. The Clerk read a petition signed by thirteen' people, indicating approval of the request, and a letter fl~om Mr. Robert W. Wilson. Upon consideration of the appeal of Mr. Herbert J. West, Sr., from the decision of the Building Inspector concerning denial of a permit for BUSiness use (proposed addition to existing dwelling for radio and television business) of Lot 5, Greenwood Hill Subdivision, property located at 804 South Greenwood and , presently zoned R-4, it appearing after this duly constituted public hearing that there are practical difficulties and unnec- essary hardships in carrying out the strict letter of the pro- ,viaiono of the zoning ordinance aa it affects such property and that. the same can be varied wi thin the intent of the zoning ordinance, ~w. Hougen moved that such appeal be granted in aC,cordance with the application submitted therewith, with the proviSion that the right to obtain a building permit in accordance with such variance shall cease after six (6) months from this date. Mr. Robert Konhauser, affiliated with the contracting firm of the Theo. Rosengarten Company, Inc., appeared on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Harris. 'Upon consideration of the appeal of Mr. and Mrs. Shelton Harris from the decision of the Building Inspector eon~ eerning denial of a permit to use Lot 7, less east 3 feet, Block E,Oreenwood Park #2, containing 3,348 square feet, to, erect a residence, property located on south side of Engman Street and presently zoned R-2, it appearing after this duly constituted public hearing that there are practical difficulties and unnecessary ,hardships in carrying out the strict letter of' the provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such , property and that the same can be varied within the intent of the zoning ordinance, Mr. Marquardt moved that such appeal be granted in accordance with the application submitted therewith, with the provision that the. right to obtain a building permit . . ,in'accordance with such varianlJe shall cease after six (6) months from this date.
