The application of Robert Lewis, who was present, was considered
next by the Board. Upon consideration of the appeal of Robert
Lewis, from the decision of the Building Inspector concerning a
15 foot setback from Nissouri Avenue for Lot 11, Block 2, Spring-
field #2, property located on northwest corner of Palmetto Street
and Missouri Avenue and zoned R-2, it appearing after this duly
constituted public hearing that there are practical difficulties
and unnecessary hardships in carrying out the strict letter of
the provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such property,
and that the swne can be varied within the intent of the zoning
ordinance, I~. Shepard moved that such appeal be granted in
accordance with the application submitted therewith, with the
provision that the right to obtain a building ~ermit in accord-
ance with such variance shall cease after six (6) months from
this date. Motion was seconded by I~. Marquardt.

~~. Ben Krentzman presented the case for Mr. Yale F. Wedig, who
was also present. 14r. Krentzman also presented sign agreements
of consent from Mr. rol. P. Charamond, I'<Irs. I-iargaret M. LynCh,
lIoIr. James MaddoCks, Mrs. Jacqueline D. Graham, and Mr. DuPont
McPhail. ~Ir. Wedig stated that there appeared to be a shortage
of profossional offices in the area. Mr. McPhail stated that
he had no objections to the application if built substantially
according to the plans. Upon consideration of the appeal of
Yale F. Wedig, from the decision of the Building Inspector,
for business use of Lot 4g, Drew Manor Subdivision to construct
an office building thereon, property located on the northwest
corner of Drew Street and Duncan Avenue) zoned R-4, it appear-
ing after this duly constituted public hearing that there are
practical difficulties and unnecessary hardships in carrying
out the strict letter of the provisions of the zoning ordinance
as it affects such property, and that the same can be varied
within the intent of the zoning ordinance, I~. Shepard moved
that such appeal be granted in accordance with the application
submitted therewith, with the provisions that the right to
obtain a buildin~ ~er.mit in accordance with such variance shall

The application of Henry Henriquez was next to be considered
by the Board. Upon consideration of the appeal of Henry
Henriquez, from .the decieion of the Building Inspector, to
erect two canvas awnings extendi~ 8 feet beyond building or
4 rae~ beyond overhang on Lots 68 to 71 inclusive, Clearwater
Beach Park, property is' the Pelican Restaurant at 470 Mandalay
