City Attorney Building Inspector The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Hougen moved that the minutes of the meeting of April 28, 1960~ be approved in accordance with copies submdtted to each Board member in writing_ Motion was seconded by Mr. Shepard and carried unanimously. The Board considered the request of Sunset Point Baptist Church for a propoae~ parking lot. The Reverend Warren Nubern spoke on behalf of the church. Mr. Frederick J. Kuhn and Mrs. Va.da C. Myers objected. A petition of objection signed by twenty-six perBons was read as were two lett.ers of objection from Mrs. Vada C. Myers and Mrs. Gladys Bigelow. Upon consideration of the appeal of the request of Sunset Point Baptist Church from the decision of the Building Inspector concerning the use of the North Seventy Five (75) feet of Lots Eight (8) and Nine {9}, Bloclc EI Sunaet Point, First Add! tion, as a non-commercial parking lot in connection with said applicant church and it appearing after this duly constituted public hearing that there are practioal difficulties and unnecessary hards~ps in carrying out the strict letter of the provisions of the zoning ordinance as it affects such property and that the same can be varied wi thin the intent 01" the zoning ordin.ance and that the proposed use or said property~ ao a non-commercial parking lot for said church applicant is consistent with the general zoning plan and with the publiC interestl Ml~. Shepard moved that such appeal be granted in accordance ~dth the application submitted therewithl for the per.m1a- ijiv'o use of Baid premises as a non-commercial parking lot for the applica.nt Sunset Point Bap'tist Church, with the provision that the right to the permissive use of such property as a non-commercial parking lot in connection with said applicant~ church~ shall expire 11' not commended wi th:Ln six months froIn thi 0 date.'
