A petition in objection with thirty-eight signatures was read
into the record.
Having held a duly constituted public hearing and since, baaed
on the material submitted by the applicant, there are practioal
difficulties or unnecessary hardships in complying with the Zoning
Code, Mr. Grimmer moved to grant a varianoe of ten teet, not the
eighteen feet as advertised, with the provision that the building
permit be obtained within six (6) months of this date. The motion
was duly seconded and carrierl unanimously. Request granted.
ITEM f/7 - Richard F. Calegari for a spechl exception to
operate as a consulting architect as a home occupation at
1425 U.S. 19 S, (/3203, Imperial Cove 613 Condo, Blrlg 22,
Unit C, zoned RM-12 (duplex-apartment).
Richard Calagari stated he is a registered architect and wishes
to have a consultant practice from his home. He stated there will
be no additional traffic and that all contaot will be by phone. He
will work in the offices of architects or builders. He otated his
neighbors and the Board of Directors of his condominium have no
objection to his request.
One letter of support was read into the record.

A duly constituted public hearing has been held and ninee, based
on the material submitted by the applicant, the proposed use is
consistent with the Zoning Code, Mr. Gans moved that said appeal be
granted with the prOVision the applicant pr'epare and file with the
Occupational License Division an affidavit agreeing to comply with
all the conditions of the Code and that the Occupational Licen.!1e be
obtained within six (6) months from this date. The motion was duly
seconded and carried unanimously. Request granted.
ITEM DB - H. Douglas Hale for a special exception to operate
a housesitting business as a home occupation at 3131 San
Bernadino St., Del Oro Gardens Sub, Lot 27, zoned, RSM50
(single- family) .
Debra Hale stated she wishes to operate a house sitting business
from her home which would include taking care of homes, plants, and
lawns \-,hile people. are away.' She stated they will also do cleaning
but will not store materials on their premises. She plans to
advertise through the mail using a post office box and a yellow page
ad 'will have the phone number only.
