Martha Kelly stated she wishes to operate a small bookkeeping business from her home. She will pick up and deliver her clients' books or conduct business through the mail. She has no signs displayed and will be working alone. She has left her regular job and intends to operate this business on a full-time basis. One citizen spoke in support and one letter of support was submitted for the record. A duly constituted publio hearing has been held and since, based on the material submitted by the applicant, the proposed use is consistent with the Zoning Code, Mr. Gans moved that said appeal be gNDted with the provision the applicant prepare and file with the ,Occupational License Division an affidavit agreeing to comply with all the conditions of the Code and that. the Occupational License be obtained within six (6) months from this date. The motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. Request granted. ITEM D8 - Donald Walker for a variance of 11 ft to erect a 3 car garage and recreation room ~ ft from renr property 11ne, at ~15 r~agno11a Or, Harbor Oaks Sub, Lot 78, zoned RS-75 (single family). The Planning Official stated there are presently two buildings existing 4 feet from the property line. These buildings are to be razed and replaced with a new three-car garage and recreation room. The new building has less area than the existing buildings. . Karin Walker stated the house was builtin 1925 and the single car driveway is a problem. She stated the project was designed with the garage doors facing the side property line rather than the street, to maintain the appearance of the general area. It has been proposed in that location because of the necessary area required for turnaround into the garage and because of several large trees which they wish to . preserve. The new structure will have arch windows and will be designed to match the house. It is a two story structure consisting of a three car garage with a recreation room on the second floor. Jim Graham, architect, stated the neighbors to the rear and side of ; this property also have struotures close to the property line.
