Chuck Cordelo of Chuok's Towing Servioe, representing the
applioant, explained his servioe and reported he replaced an existing.,
fenoe with a ohain link fenoe and has cleaned up the area. He will
be required to relooate if plans to develop the property are
canpleted. He oontinues to searoh for a different looation on the
beaoh.
Two oitizens spoke in support of the request, o1ting the need
for a towing servioe on the beaoh. A petition of support, bearing
25 signatures of motel owners and/or operators cn the beaoh, was read
into the record. No one spoke in opPosition.
.Disoussion ensued regarding the temporary nature of the operation
and the definition of a noncommercial off-street parking lot.
Having held a duly oonatituted publio hearing and sinoe, based
on vhe material submitted by the applioant, the proposed use is
ocnsistent with the zoning oode, Mr. Grimmer moved that said appeal
be aNDted with the provision that the special exoeption expire
one (t) year from this date. The motion was duly seoonded and carried
unanimously. Request poaDted.
