Public Works - Bob Maran said that Mr. Appenzeller had addressed
the problem of street names being the same all ,the way through.
He also said that since the City of Clearwater owned the property
for the park they were requesting that the City be added to the
platting proceas. After discussion, Mr. Maran said that Mr. Bill
Shepard would check with the County to see what would be
required. Mr. Appenzeller said that Paula Young was the one to
speak with at the County, since she oversees the County platting
process. Mr. Maran inquired about pedestrian access off the cul-
de-sac for Lot 29. The southern portion of the lot was all
Florida Power easement and it would be convenient for people in
the neighborhood to be able to come down the cul-de-sac and enter
the park.
Ream Wilson asked if would be possible to get a 10 ft. easement
through that portion of Florida Power easement to the park site.
Mr. Appenzeller said there should be no problem.
Traffic Engineering - Mr. Crawford commented on the median. He
believed that City policy was that no medians would be built just
for the purpose of landscaping. He also felt that a 14 ft.
roadway was too narrow to back out a car from a driveway. There
was some general discussion about medians and street width.
Utilities - Distributed written comments - Attachment #1 - The
water distribution system is adequate. The cul-de-sacs must be
built to minimum City of Clearwater specifications to provide
adequate access for refuse collection.
Planning - Paula Harvey requested that they plat the front
building setback on Lots 26, 27, 28, and 29.
Parks and Recreation - Inquired about timing of the payment of
the $200 Recreation Facility fees. Paula Harvey said the
Agreement to Annex stated that the owner shall pay a total fee of
$5,800 representing $200 per unit x 29 units prior to or in
concert with the execution of the agreement.
Public Works - Bob Maran said that they needed a 10 ft. drainage,
& utility easement along the right-of-way. Mr. Appenzeller said
they would comply.
,MOTION: Paula Harvey made a motion to recommend to Pinellaa
County approval of the Preliminary Plat for Chelsea Woods Phase
II based upon a finding of the Committee that the plan conforms
with the design guidelines for plat approval, subject to the
following.
1. A front building setback line be platted for Lots 26, 27,
28, and 29.
2. A 10 ft. pedestrian access easement be provided along the
southern property line of Lot 29.
