Ms. Harvey explained the justification for the following Land Use
Plan amendments. She commented that the proposed Land
Development Code bas restructured the manner in which publicly
owned property would be zoned. The new Code proposes to
designate publicly owned property either as aS/R (Open Space
Recreation) or P/SP (PubliC/Semi-public). The distinction of the
appropriate zoning to be on the property would be based on the
existing or proposed use of the property as it complies with the
description of the permitted uses within each district.

John Richter made a brief presentation concerning the proposed
Land Development Code and informed the Board the City Commission
had reviewed the Code during the last two City Commission work
sessions. The Code will be presented for receipt and referral by
the City Commission April 18, 1985. Public hearings for the
Planning and Zoning Board and City Commission will follow.
Board members posed questions and discussion ensued.
Chairman Maur stated he had received copies of letters addressed
to Messrs. Goodwin and Canan and a letter of resi~nation from
LeBron Free.
Meeting adjourned at 3:00 PM.
