(a) Generally
(7) Waivers when there is an existing and similar built
environment

Redevelopments of property which when completed
will be similar to the built environment prior to
redevelopment may have the CIS requirement waived
by the City Manager. Such a waiver decision shall
require a written report showing the present built
environment and its similarity with the proposed
redevelopment.

Public projects. Requirements of this section
shall be applicable to all projects whether the
applicant is a public, nonprofit or private
party.

Ms. Harvey stated the proposed request will provide a waiver of
the CIS requirement when there is an existing or similar built
environment prior to redevelopment. This waiver would apply
only to redevelopment projects. At present, there is no pro-
vision in the ordinance for a waiver of this requirement.

Mr. Mazur suggested Changing the word "decision" to the word
