#13, Stevenson Creek, from Union Street to south of Palmetto

Mr. Healey reviewed the background and history of subject
property, stating that the City Commission had requested this
item be brought before the Planning and Zoning Board for re-
consideration as Ml, Light Manufacturing.

Mr. Healey stated that subject area is of mixed use and that an
effort is being made to continue to provide an incentive for
redevelopment by allowing for combinination of shallow parcels
into larger properties in an effort to provide for greater
setback from the street. Mr. Healey stated that the shallow depth
of SUbject properties does not provide much of an option for the
property owners to alter what they have at pr~sent nor is there
an incentive for the owners to do anything different.

No citizen appeared in support of above request.

Mrs. Lois Cormier, 625 McLean Street, appeared in opposition and
felt that the proposed classification is not an appropriate one
for the area and would have considerable traffic impact. She
felt that a PS, Professional Services zoning classification would
be more appropriate.
A letter in opposition to proposed request was received from
Harry Cline, Attorney-at-Law, representing McMullen Feed Store.
Motion was made by Mr. Bfckerstaffe, seconded by Mr. Turner, to
recommend approval of above request. Motion carried 4-3, with
Mrs. Rogers and Messrs. Goodwin and Green voting "naye."

concerning properties involved in the Areawide Rezonings #13 and
19, pointing out that subject applications are being considered
for review in order to resolve conflicts between the Zoning Atlas
and Land Use Plan and to more accurately reflect current owner-
Ship. existing land use and future desirable development trends.
The areas to be amended are generally described as follows: '13,
Stevenson Creek, from Union Street to south of Palmetto Street,
between N. Ft. Harrison-Edgewater Drive and Betty Lane; and Area
*19 is located on Clearwater Beach from Causeway Boulevard south
to Bayway Boulevard.
