THE PLANNING & ZONING BOARD

Absent: Mr. Kuntz; David P. Healey, Planning Director
Public hearing was held for the purpose of considering requested annexation and zoning
item followed by public hearings for the purpose of conside~ing items to be included
in an ordinance amending the Land Use Plan and Zoning Atlas.
Tapes of public hearings are on file in the Planning Depsrtment.
On motion bX Mr. Mazur, seconded by Mr. Canan. minutes of June 2. 1981 were approved
as written.
Chairman Parks welcomed Ms. Shirley t,zulfeck as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board.

Above property is located east of and abutting US 19. approximately 1300 feet north of
Drew Street. Subject property is vacant and consists of 16.5 acres }~L,
Applicant Frank C. Kunnen stated he desires City water and sewer service for subject
property.
Chris Papandreas, Chief Planner/Long Range, reviewed the background and history of
subject parcel and stated there is a need<for additional industrial land within the
City. Sh~ commented that proposed request is corsistent with long-range plans and
objectives.' .
Mr. Kunnen st~tcd he purchased subject property from the County and is working with them
on access problems internal to the site which need to be addressed when the site plan
is reviewed.

Mr. Abe Cohen, owner of property at the northwest corner of Ft. Harrison Avenue and
Turner Street, expressed concern should his building be damaged and it was necessary
to rebuild. He commented he had made application to be included in the Downtown
