Mr. Healey stated that a draft ordinance had been prepared in response to numerous requests for a provision to provide home occupations. Such home occupations would be allowed by special exception in single family or multi-family residential districts and would be authorized by the Board of Adjustment and Appeal on Zoning. Mr. Healey reviewed the draft ordinance. item by item, with the Board members. Board members expressed the following concerns: (1) clarification in the ordinance concerning occupations conducted inside and outside the home; (2) clarification to differentiate between a hobby and full-t~me occupation or business; (3) clari- fication concerning parking of commercially marked vehicles; (4) alternatives to the proposal, such as listing those uses not permitted, with all others to be authorized without permit; and (5) the need for such uses to be considered as special exceptions.
