CASE 110. 17-84
Amza & Neim Abdullaj
~
V
The Abdullajs were ordered to appear before the Board to discuss their
~ulling of a demolition permit instead of a construction permit. The
Board's order issued in this case had been based upon the Abdullajs stating
they were going to rehabilitate the structure. funza Abdullaj stated they
had complied by getting the demolition permit and had subsequently sold
the property, the closing to be on June 15, 198~.
Mark Nadel, the purchaser of the property, stated he had been in
contact with the Building Department and had a letter from Dave
Christiansen dated May 18 authorizing renovation of the project. He stated
the demolition permit had been resciended and a remodeling permit issued.
He will begin work on Monday, June 18, 1964, and hopes to be finished by
August 30, 1984. He showed the Board the aforementioned letter and
renovation permit.
Discussion ensued regarding the liability for time that has elapsed
between April 20, the compliance date for obtaining permits, and the July
7 date, the date on which the renovation permit was issued to Mr. Nadel.
The Building Department has filed no affidavits regarding compliance or
non-compliance with the Secretary. It was consensus that the orginal order
stan~as i~giving Mr. Nadel until October 15th to finish the
rehabilitation of the building. Only upon filing of an affidavit by the
Building Department will any further action be taken.
