ORDINANCE NO. 7029-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN ELEMENT OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY, TO DESIGNATE THE
LAND USE FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE
EAST SIDE OF ELIZABETH AVENUE,APPROXIMATELY 450
FEET NORTH OF GULF-TO-BAY BOULEVARD AND 420 FEET
EAST OF DAVID AVENUE, CONSISTING OF THE NORTH 100
FEET OF THE SOUTH 610 FEET OF THE EAST 150 FEET OF
THE WEST 980 FEET OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF THE
NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 29
SOUTH, RANGE 16 EAST LESS THE WESTERLY 15 FEET,
TOGETHER WITH ABUTTING RIGHT-OF-WAY WHOSE POST
OFFICE ADDRESS IS 321 ELIZABETH AVENUE, UPON
ANNEXATION INTO THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, AS
RESIDENTIAL URBAN; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the amendment to the future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan
of the City as set forth in this ordinance is found to be reasonable, proper and appropriate, and is
consistent with the City's comprehensive plan; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CllY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The future land use plan element of the comprehensive plan of the City of
Clearwater is amended by designating the land use category for the hereinafter described
property, upon annexation into the City of Clearwater, as follows:
Property
North 100 feet of the South 610 feet of the East
150 feet of the West 980 feet of the Southwest
quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 17,
Township 29 South, Range 16 East, less the
Westerly 15 feet thereof reserved for street,
together with abutting right-of-way,
Pinellas County, Florida. (ANX 2002-07010)

Section 2. The City Commission does hereby certify that this ordinance is consistent
with the City's comprehensive plan.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon adoption, contingent upon
and subject to the adoption of Ordinance No. 7028-02, and subject to the approval of the land
use designation by the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, and subject to a
determination by the State of Florida, as appropriate, of compliance with the applicable
requirements of the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development
Regulation Act, pursuant to ~ 163.3189, Florida Statutes.
