Galbraith, Goudeau Jr. Interim City Manager City Attorney City Clerk Joseph Mil ton Cynthia ITEM 02 - Minutes - Commissioner Winner moved to approve the minutes of the February 16, 1988, meeting. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. A \:;.;;1 ITEM D3 - Recommendation of the Pension Advisory Committee. a. Request Cor Accl.ptance into Membership The Interim City Manager presented the recommendation of the Advisory Committee to approve membership for five (5) employees listed below: Raae Classification Department Deborah Bolte Steven Paul Deborah Storey Gary Angell Wendy Foley Groundskeeper I Police Recruit II Police Sere Tech. Maintenance Worker I Librarian II Parks & Rec. Police Police Pub. Wks./Pub. Sere Libraries Commissioner Winner moved to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Committee. Motion was duly seconded aad carried unanimously. b. Bequest ror Pension. The Interim City Manager presented the recommendation of the Advisory General Employees' Pension Fund that the employee listed below be Disability Pension under Section 26.3~ of the Committee, granted a non-job-connected Employees' Pension Plan. ~ ~ Book 2 136. 02/29/88 ~ I, . ~ ,~ -- I, ...~~.---_.__.-,-_.......- -I_.-..-_I'.....~_"'-..-.-_._..... Frederick Woodard, Firefighter, Fire Department, to be effective on March 30, 1987, at an amount to be calculated by the Finance Department. CJ In response to a question, it was indicated that a physical fitness program had been tried in the Fire Department but it had met with Union resistance. Commissioner Winner moved to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Committee. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM IJ4 Other Business. The Personnel Director indicated the Pension Advisory Committee is requesting the Trustees obtain an Attorney General opinion regarding it being a conflict of interest for the City Commission to serve as Pension Trustees. Consensus was to request an updated opinion. Commissioner Regulski questioned the status of resolving the 45 year age limitation. It was reported that no progress had been made other than receiving a positive indication from FOP. It was requested we attempt to get responses from the unions and resolve this question.
