Approval of Investment Agreement with Florida National The City of Clearwater Employees' Pension Fund has worked with Exchange Bank of Tampa. Among the services which they provided are Investment Management of Fixed Income Securities, Custody and Record Keeping of all pension rund assets, Equity Manager Evaluation and Selection, and general advice on pension investments. In 1983, Exchange Bank of Tampa was purchased by NCNB. As a result of the takeover, virtually all of the individuals who were instrumental in serving the city have relocated to other banks. The proposal from Florida National Bank is the result of extensive negotiations with John Willoughby and Arvel Gschwend, of Florida National Bank (both of whom were Cormerly with Exchange Bank). The rates quoted are exactly the same as the current NCNB rates and are substantially below market rates for similar investment services. This agreement will enable the city to retain the expertise of two of its most trusted investment advisors at the same time as we maintain our association with NCNB at no additional cost.
