Shoemaker Thomas A. Bustin Lucille Williams City Manager City Attorney Ci ty Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order. ITEM #2 Minutes - Commissioner Garvey moved to approve the minutes of the January 30, 1984 meeting. MOtion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. :CD ITEM il3 - Recommendations of the Pension Advisory Committee. a. Acceptance into Membership. Denial of Membership. 8 The City Manager presented the recommendation of the Advisory Committee to deny membership based on physician's fi~dings for one (1) employee listed below: Name Classification Department Beverly Howard Clerk Typist II Utilities/Sanitation Div. Commissioner Garvey moved to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Committee to deny membership. MOtion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #4 - Other Business Chairman of the Pension Advisory Committee, of Trustees that there are 277 employees in City's employ who did not contribute to the Pension Plan during first six-months of their employment. Claude Zukowski, reported to the Board the the The Finance Director estimated if all the employees opt to pay back the first six-months contributions, the cost to the City is estimated by the actuary to be $148,000 to $300,000 over a period of 15 years or approximately $36,000 annually.
