Shoemaker Thomas A. Bustin Lucille Williams City Manager City Attorney City Clerk The Mayor called the meeting to order. ITEM #2 Minutes - Commissioner Garvey moved to approve the minutes of the May 2, 1983, meeting. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM f~3 - Recommendations of the Pension Advisory Committee. f1?\ 'V a. Acceptance into Membership. The City Manager presented the Committee to approve Name recommendation memberShip for six (6) Classifica tion of' the Advisory employees listed below: Department Semtak, Todd Kincade, Kimberly R. Bahnick, Glen Marshall, Carol Alverson, Marvin Maintenance Worker I Police Communications Opr I Drafting Technician II Secretary I W.P.C. Operator Trainee Marine Police Public Works-Engineering Police Public Works-W.P.C. Re-evaluation: Crump, David l1aintenance Worker I Public Works-Public Service Commissioner Garvey the Advisory Committee. unanimously. moved to accept the recommendation of Motion was duly seconded and carried Af"\ \1Y 1 . 5/16/83 r I" " o b. Denial of Membership. The City Manager Committee to deny membership (1) employee listed below: presented the recommendation of the Advisory based on physician's findings for one Name Classification Department Barnes, Robert Survey Aide I Public Works-Engineering Commissioner Garvey moved to accept the recommendation of the Advisory Committee to deny membership. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously. ITEM #4 - Physical Examinations for Employees Requesting Disability Pension. Commissioner Garvey moved to authorize the Pension Advisory Committee (PAC) to refer certain employees who have requested disability pension to a specialist for medical evaluation when, in the viel'" of the PAC, the previously submitted documentation is inconclusive, contradictory, or does not provide specific information as may be required to make a judgement as to a disability and that the cost of any such physical/medical evaluations be paid from the Pension Funds.
