Commissioner Garvey moved to accept the recommendation of the
Advisory Committee to deny membership. Motion was duly seconded and
carried unanimously.
ITEM #4 - Physical Examinations for Employees Requesting Disability
Pension.
Commissioner Garvey moved to authorize the Pension Advisory
Committee (PAC) to refer certain employees who have requested
disability pension to a specialist for medical evaluation when, in the
viel'" of the PAC, the previously submitted documentation is
inconclusive, contradictory, or does not provide specific information
as may be required to make a judgement as to a disability and that the
cost of any such physical/medical evaluations be paid from the Pension
Funds. Motion was duly seconded and carried unanimously.
