Town Meetings. Ream Wilson, Parks and Recreation Director, disoussed with the oommission the request of the Phillies for the use of Jack Russell Stadium for a minor league team. Disoussion ensued on ohanging the Clearwater Bombers to Ray Green Field which is now ready for use by the City softball league tea~. The Bombers are opposed to using Ray Green Field. Commission noted a minor league would be eoonomically feasible for the City now that a faoility is available. o Budget Ordinances. Commissioner Berfield stated he felt there were too many staff members in the Fire Department and not enough Firefighters. The Chief was present and responded to questions. The Chief's reorganization would inolude three district oaptains, a training officer to teach fire prevention and one aesistant fire marshall. An aesistant fire chief and one lieutenant will be deleted. He reminded the Commission that all personnel in the Fire Department are firefighters, including himself. Commissioner Berfield requested an organizational chart and job descriptions. Verbal Reports. The Mayor noted William Tomicki of Imperial Park had contaoted again about the trimming of the palm trees in the ROW.
