The object is to provide decent housing and a suitable living environment for residents within desigaated C.D.B.G. "target areas." The City approved the present Local Rehabilitation Polciy at a regUlar meeting on February 16, 1964. Sinoe that time, we have become aware of a need to revise the poliCY to allow us to adrlress certain unusual cases. In addition to the oorrection of grammatical and typographical errors, the revision permits relocation benefits for dislocation caused by fire and natural disaster and established limits on the amount of demolition grant benefits. to prOVide relocation benefits on a Joe McFate, Community Development Director, reviewed the Changes. HydroKen Sulfide Control - Amendment to AKenda Item. e On March 1, 1984, the City Commission awarded a contraot to Interox Amerioa, Houston, TX, to fUrnish a hydrogen sulfide control system, for a not-to-exceed price of $116,669.66. On July 20 staff met with the contractor to discuss persistent odor problems at Bayfront Pump Station below City Hall. All parties agreed that the problem wa5 caused by the configuration of the Island Estates waste1mter collection 5ystem which prevents wastewater from being treated effectively for odor control at Mandalay Park. An additional treatment station is required on Island Work Session 3.
