The operator of the Bait Shop pians to expand the enterprise. The
Anderson Hay Cru�.ses wil7. reimburse the Marina �`und for the oost of
reloaating the baf.tHouse and pier. The additional aost of the expanded
baithouse will be reaaptured thraugh a proposed re--nagotiated lea9e. The
total est3.mated aost for bath prujents should not exaeed $30,000. The
Mayor qus�tioried whether it was finanoial3.y feasible for the bait house to
assume the increased rent oosti.
Alli ator Creek Reoreation Area.
The State of Florida Asparttaent of Natural Resourass, appraved
fi.nannfal asaietenoe in the amourit of $�10�OOQ for the development of
the hlligator Creek Reareation Area. The City wi11. provide matching funds
in �he amount of $55,000 as thia is a two to one matahing gran� with Che
State paying �2 for every $1 �he City spends.
The itesolution authorizes aaaeptanoe of the grant and exeQutian of
an agreement Por the development of the renreation area. As part of the
projeot the City wi13. Qons�ruat a boat ramp, nature trails� bike path�
doaits/fishing piers, pionio faai,liti.ea, parking� pedestrian wal4twaya and
relate� support faailities.

used extensively for bathing by oitizens. The bathing area haa been
subjoQt to inereasing intrusion by wa�eroraft, endangering persons in the
water.
The Stiate of Florida is empowered to designate the area as a
restrioted area wherein iL• 18 unlawful ta operate watereraft. The
Resalution requeats tha State establish a restMoted area Wherein i� �hall
be unlawful to operate wateroraft within 300 feet of the shoraline.

The Redevelopment Truat Fund Ord�.nanae is the Pi.na]. doaument which
needs approval. to enabl.e the oolleotian of tax inaremea� funds for downtown
redeve�opment. The dooumsnt must be referred to the Hoard of Ca��nt}
Cammissioners Who reserved that right in their daZegation of aut`�ori�y to
the City. ,,

Chris Papandreas� P�anner II� repor�ed the Coastal. Zane Managemerit
�lement had been revie�rad by other agencies and sot�e auggesti.ons inaluded.
Tha goals and pol�.oies of the zone have the effeat of preserving or
enhancing ex�.sting natural and m;an�made systems. The overall �o�iQy �xili
be to re�ieH aIl appliaations and plans for deve�apment t,n the Coasta�. Zone
and canaider the efFent of the praposed aQtioris on the system9.
The nsighborhood analysis summaries propose to preserve open vis�as
ar�d old struatures.
