The CZearwater Airpark has a requirement for a navigati,onal aid to
assist pilots in flying a proper glide slope to avoid obstruQtions an the
South end of the Airpark runway. Triis navigational aid, ealled a Viaual
Agproach 51ope Indi.eator ar a VAST 5ystem� is a ser3.es of White light�
which indicate ta an approaohing pilot the correct glide slope to set to
avoid on-the-ground abstruetions.
A surplus Visual Appraach Slope Indteator is available from the Avon
Park Gunnery Range. installation cost9 for the system should be Iess than
