The prop�rties are lacated east and west ot Fairwood Avenue,
north ot Drew Stree�, and south of,rthe Seaboard Caast Line Rail-
road, a Cotal a� 75.6 acres MOL. The propased plans �or deveZop-
ment include �:he sale of Parcels A€� C to the 5outhwest Flarida
Water Management District �or the A1�i.g�tor Creek Water Manage-
menti Project. Parcel B has been approved far 109 town houses to
be known as Fai.r Oaks and Parcels b F� E wi11 remai.n vacant to be
developed in the future at a density nat to exceed Z80 dweliing
units on Parcel D and 2�8 units on Farcel �. The agreement wili
set the parameters £or density of �uture deveZopment and incZude
provisions and restric�ions for the sale of properries to SWFZ'MD
and fu�ure development o� Che remaining properties.
The City Manager reported the City would be responsible £or
the overall maintenance after purchase af the property by SWFTAfD
at a purchase price of $2p,OpQ p�r acre. The; Ci.xy wa.�,I be pay-
ing for the utili�y ].ines already insta�Ied in Parcel A. Ti�e
City has agreed thar the densi�ies shall be vested tor a periad

parkland purposes. 'Fhe City agrees �ta prohibit use of power

Commissioner Stephan questioned �he steps for estab�ish-
ment of an Airport Authority and expressed concerns about :
delay. He suggested a�ask �orce be es�ablished ta meeC with
�oca1 airport authorities, report back, and make a recommenda-
iion. The Authority wnu].d be concerned only with the mave-
me�� of p�anes. He alsa suggested reducing the commercial
activity at the Airpark. •

Commissioner Moore requested an additio�al £an in �he

Board be establisha� �qY' inspectzon purposes on rehabi,la.�a-
tion �oan projects. The City Manager reported a new system
has been implemented �or rehah loans and req�ested it be
ga.ven a chance 4;o work.
