A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COtU1ISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 88-37
IN ITS ENTIRETYj SETTING FEES FOR THE USE OF
RECREATION FACILITIES OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER BY
NONRESIDENTS OF THE CITY.

WHEREAS, the City of C1ean~ater provides recreational facilities
and programs for residents and taxpayers in the corporate limits of the City
of C1 eaNaterj and
WHEREAS, it is desired that those who use the recreational
facilities and programs and are nonresidents of the City of Clearwater shall
pay a comparable sum for the use of said recreational facilities or programsj
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
Sect ion 1.
That Resolution No. 88-37 passed by the City
Commission on August 18, 1988, be and the same is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
Section 2~ That effective January 1, 1989, nonresidents who wish
to use C1eaNater recreation facilities or programs may do so by paying one or
more of the following fees:
A. Card Options
1. Annual Individual Card ................. $ 49.00
Valid from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31
2. Fall Individual Card ................... $ 30.00
Valid from Sept. 1 through Dec. 31
3. Annual Family Card
$122.50

Valid from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31
4. Fall Family Card
$ 75.00

Valid from Sept. 1 through Dec. 31
NOTE: An Individual card may be used only by the person to
whom it is issued. A Family card covers all family
.members residing at the household.
B. Options in lieu of Nonresident card purchase
1. $2 daily guest fee at all tenni s facil iti es
2.' $1 admission fee for children 17 and under, and
$2 admission fee for adults 18 and over, at all
City swimming pools for "0pen Swimu programs only.

3. Class/program fee plus 50% additional for
activities offered on a session basis.
4~ $25 per person single season fee for adult
athletic leagues.
5. Single admission fee (exception: City pools)
plus an additional 25%.
6. Participant fee of $1 for children 17 and
under and $2 for adults for activities/
programs conducted by the Recreation
Department staff which are free to residents.
Section 3.
The criteria which establish the class of City
residents for the purpose of this Resolution are:
a. Permanent residence within the corporate
boundaries of the City of Clearwaterj or
b. Ownership of real property within the corporate
boundaries of the City of Clearwater, as
evidenced by the official tax rolls maintained
by Pinellas County; or
c. Tourists and guests residing at properties
within the corpor'ate boundaries of the City
of Cl earwater;
d. Persons who are employees of the City of
Clearwater. their spouse and children who
live at home.
Section 4. In programs where leadership is provided by non-City
. employees. or rentals are charged. or' where enforcement is impractical. the
nonresident fee is not required.
Sect ion 5. That a cert i fi ed copy of th is Reso 1 ut ion shall be
furnished to the Parks and Recreation Director of the City of Clearwater,
Florida.
Section 6.
That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
