". , . .:> ..~~. jc,~. - s RES 0 L UTI 0 N No. 87 ~ 32 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF THE COUNTYWIDE COMPUTERIZED TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM. WHEREAS, the Pi,ne 11 as County Board of County Commi ss ioners has des i gnated funds from thp. Local Option Gas Tax for the developm~nt of a Countywide Computer~ ized Traffic Signal System; and WHEREAS, the consultant on the project. Kimley-Horn and Associates. Inc., has completed a Conceptual Design Report; and WHEREAS, the conceptual plans provide for replacement of the City of Clear- water's existing ,computer hardwar~ and software. traffic signal controllers and other equipment necessary for operation of a co~puterized traffic signal system; and WHEREAS, the conceptual plan~ provide for expansion of the City of Clear- , water's existing computerized traffic signal system; and WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has received such conceptual plans and generally concurs with those improvements as stated therein; and WHEREAS.' the conceptual plans are consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and long-term goals and objectives of the City; NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BV THE CITY Cor~ISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER. FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Clearwater does hereby support the Conceptual Design of the Countywide Computerized Traffic Signal System. reserving the right of further review and ~omrnent as more specific 'detailed plans are developed for such improvements.
