A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CLEARW ATER AMENDING RULE 5 AND RULE 1~ OF ITS RULES
OF PROCEDURE TO CHANGE THE TIME OF THE nEGULAR
MEETING FROM 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, the City Commission ot the City ot Clearwater, through the adoption
ot Resolution No. 77-44, as subsequently amended, established a set ot rules of
procedure to govern the conduct of Its business; Qnd
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to change the time of its regular
meetingJ
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VEn BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA:
SecUon 1. Rule 5 of the Rules of Procedure of the Clearwater City Commission
Is amended to read:

Beginning with the regular meeting to be held March 6, 1986, September iT
i993 and continuing thereafter, the City Commission shall meet on the
first and third Thursdays ot each month at !:QQ.~ 4t99 P;M-: In its
chamber. Special meetings may be held on call of the Mayor-
Commissioner, City Manager, or any two ot the members and, whenever
possible, upon no less than twenty-four (24) hours pUblic notice.
Commencing with the session to be held August 1, 1983, and continuing
thereafter, except as may be rescheduled from time to time when
nec~ary when ehanged due to connict, a work session shall be held at
9:00 A.M.'!m the lirst working day of the Commission meeting week. Work
sessions are primarUy designed for information gathering and guidance, and
no formal CommissIon decision approving or disapproving!!! agenda item
or items scheduled for public hearing may be made. Except for items
advertised for public hearing, items may be removed from the agenda and
additional items may be added. The agenda may be reordered. Minutes
shall be taken and distributed by the City Clerk. Only staff members shall
, be included in the work session discussion unless prior arrangements are
mode through the City Manager. Four (4) regional meetings shall be
scheduled during the year, excluding June, July, August and December.
They' will be scheduled at Clty-owned faclUties through the corporate
, limits when possible.
