OF DEMOLITION IN 'l'IIE AMOUN'l' OF $850.00 INCURRED
IN REMOVING SUBS'rANOJ\HD BUILDING.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 133 of ~ho Code of Ordinances,
City of Clearwater and the Standard Building Codo, the Building
Official determined that certain real property hereinafter described

and the building situated thereon were unsafe, unsanitnry, unfit
for human habitation and dangerous nnd detrimental to the health,
safety, morals and the general welfare of the community and did
not properly comply with the requirements of said Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 103.4 (a) (S), as amended, of
the Standard Building Code, the Building Official found that an
emergency existed which, in hiu opinion, involved imminent danger

to human life and health, and ordered the demolition of said
building; and
WHEREAS, the City of Clearwater has caused the demolition of
said building, and the cost of such work should now be assessed
as a lien on behalf of the City of Clearwate~ against said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, FLORIDA,
IN SESSION DULY AND REGULARLY ASSEMBLED, AS
FOLLOWS:

Pursuant to Chapter 133, Code of Ordinances, City of

Clearwater, and Section 103.4 (a) (S), as amended, of the Standard
Building Code, the Building Official having found that an emergency
existed and having ordered the demolition of the building situated
on the following described property:
South 75 feet of Lot 13, of Revised Map
of R. H. Padgett's SUbdivision, according to
the map or plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 4, page 32 of the Public Records of
Pinellas County, Florida; also known as
325.5. Madison Avenue, Clearwater, Florida.

2, As ,soon au practicable A certificate of indebtedness
against the described real property for the amount of the assessment
shall be prepared, which ce~tificate shall constitute and be a prior
lien to all other liens except the lien for taxes. Said certificate,
when issued shall be payable to bearer in not exceeding ten (10)
equal annual installments with interest at a rate not greater than
eight per cent (8%) per annum payable annually.
3. ~he City Clerk is hereby directed to prepare a Notice of
Lien in the amount of the assessment against said property and to
file the same in the Office of the Circuit Court of pinellas
County, Florida.
4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption,

day of August, A.D. 1985.
