BACKGROUND: Frank Palombo, Police Captain, Police Department, was employed by the City on March 28, 1977, and his pension service credit is effective that date. His pension will be effective on August 1, 1997. Based on an average salary of approximately $57,714 per year over the past five years, the formula for computing regular pensions, and Mr. Palombo's selection of the 100% Joint & Survivor Annuity, this pension will approximate $31,528 annually. Robert S. Anderson, Police Officer, Police Department, was employed by the City on March 21, 1977, and his pension service credit is effective on June 18, 1977. His retirement will be effective on August 1, 1997. Mr. and Mrs. Renner were legally married on April 19, 1985, thereby entitling her to death benefits under provisions of the City's Pension Plan. Mrs. Renner's request for death benefits was approved by the Pension Advisory Committee (PAC) on July 10, 1997. The amount of Mrs. Renner's pension will computed by the Finance Department. 'This pension will be effective September 1, 1996.
