SUBJECT: Demolition and Disposal of Building at 108 South Myrtle Avenue Bid 52-92
RECOMMENDATION/~IOTION: Award the contract for Demolition and disposal of Building
at 108 South Myrtle Avenue Bid 52-92 to KIMMINS CONTRACTING CORPORATION of TAMPA,
FLORIDA, for the sum of $11,349.00 which is the lowest, most responsive bid
received in accordance with the plans and specifications.

BACKGROUND:
The City of Cleawater has for some time owned the property known as the 'Bilgore
Property' located at 108 South Myrtle Avenue. This property is located in
downtown Clearwater and contains an old citrus packing/sales building and several
large foundations from previously demolished buildings. The City Manager and the
Economic Development Director have requested that the remaining building and
foundations be removed and that the site be leveled and seeded. This will make
the property more attractive to the community and prospective buyers.
The available balance in this code is sufficient to provide funds for this
contract.
